windows on apple ‘hearts’ playstation third party apps

I just realized that I hadn’t really mentioned how I was streaming media from my MacBook Pro to my Playstation 3. Especially seeing as all of the third party apps out there (TVersity, PlayOn, VidZone, etc.) are for Windows only.

Many comments in the Engadget or Gizmodo blogs said something along the lines of “when’s it coming to Mac?”, “something else I can’t use on my Mac”, “too bad it’s not coming to Mac”, etc. But since when did people not hear that they can run Windows on a Mac? I have Windows XP installed on both my BootCamp partition, as well as the virtual machine in Parallels. I haven’t bothered to use the third party apps with XP on BootCamp because it works extremely well through Parallels while I keep all my Mac apps open at the same time. Come on now people!

ah, how I adore my PS3- streams, video, PSN…

So, yet again, I must express my love for everything Playstation. Several options for streaming video and televisions shows have started to emerge. Sony’s integration with third party, VidZone [N4G Trailer, Gizmodo article] is on its way as well with music video streaming. Then there’s the Playstation Store and any number of applications and hardware on the way. What’s not to love?

the list of networking apps doesn’t seem to end

I am amazed at how many different social networking sites there are. And then of course there’s blogs and social networking sites that have widgets or apps to let you use each one inside each other one. On my Facebook account I had listed quite a few of my networks in my website section. I thought it was kind of a pain, but thought, hey, maybe someone uses one and not the other, I should just list a bunch of them. Then I found Plaxo. Plaxo has almost all of the sites I had already registered with and then a TON more.

win $25 iTunes gift card from myawesomeblog.com

Just recently I was updating my Plaxo account with my Twitter connection. I noticed I still hadn’t seen which of my friends were on Twitter. The only one that came up on my first Gmail account was twitter@twitter.com…or Manatee. I was reading through updates when I came across this contest to win a $25 iTunes gift card at myawesomeblog.com. Cool. All you have to do is blog about the contest, link to it in your blog, and post a comment in the original contest post. Only the first 25 posters have a shot. Check it out! Good luck! :)
